Vision

The Macroscope Initiative envisions a world where individuals are equipped with the cognitive tools and expanded awareness to challenge negative thinking and work towards a more sustainable and just future.

This includes:
• A global citizenry that is critically engaged and aware, capable of recognizing and resisting manipulation by powerful interests.
• A society that moves beyond the limitations of a purely modern, scientific perspective by integrating diverse forms of knowledge, such as philosophy, science, art, and indigenous practices.
• A shift from a paradigm of “bifurcation” to one of “habitation,” where humans recognize their interconnectedness with the environment and all living beings.
• A re-engagement with embodied experience, moving away from the mediated and anesthetic realities of the contemporary world, with a renewed focus on circadian rhythms and the function of dreaming.
• A move towards collective action that embraces responsibility for the well-being of the planet and all its inhabitants, moving beyond the framework of individual self-interest.
• A cultural landscape that fosters creativity, improvisation, and dynamic dialogue, drawing inspiration from the spirit of jazz and the dynamic interplay between various scales and perspectives.
• An “ontological advancement” that transcends conventional thinking and provides access to broader and more integrated evaluative and perceptual resources.
• A global community that embraces a “zoom in-zoom out” practice that acknowledges the importance of understanding both the smallest details and the largest scale dynamics when addressing geopolitical and existential threats.

Let’s start exploring….
